The company backs up its aspirations with evidence gathered and audited by local PCTs and the Department of Health. In 2007, IHP were featured on the Department of Health 18 Week Programme website and in the initial Lord Darzi review, as an exemplar of good primary care practice, due to the significant volume of treatment delivered in primary care, hospital referral reductions and extremely low practice based commissioning (PbC) budget levels being achieved in highly deprived and high demand health populations.
